Wockhardt UK has many years of experience producing pain management products. Our portfolio contains a wide range of analgesics that can be grouped into three major categories as follows:

OPIOID ANALGESICS

Diamorphine
Wockhardt UK offers a comprehensive range of injectable diamorphine presentations. During 2005, the only other supplier to the UK market has been unable to manufacture diamorphine, leading to a chronic shortage of this important product.

In response, we have been working hard to alleviate the market shortfall by directing capacity to additional diamorphine production. To ensure that all available stocks are distributed as effectively as possible, we are continuing to work closely with the Department of Health (DoH).

Morphine, & Methadone
Wockhardt UK also produces morphine, and methadone in injectable form. Given the current diamorphine shortage the DoH has been sourcing additional stocks of alternative analgesics such as morphine. We have responded by significantly increasing our morphine output.

NON-OPIOID ANALGESICS

Well-established products such as paracetamol, ibuprofen and naproxen are included within our pain management range.

ANTI-MIGRAINE DRUGS

Finally, Wockhardt UK produces an ergotamine-based analgesic used in the management of migraine.
