Wockhardt UK are pleased to have provided sponsorship for two of the school events provided by the Wrexham Science Festival (WSF), which ran from Tuesday 27th March to Wednesday 4th April 2007. The WSF is one of the key highlights in the community calendar and attracted around 5000 people over the course of the week.

The schools event programme provided a variety of free events for primary and secondary children. The presentations were mainly practical with the children learning through participating in scientific experiments. The sessions are aimed at developing an interest in science and showing how science is at the heart of everything.

Wockhardt UK sponsored events were ‘Sand Science’, which explained the origins of sand and investigated the role of wind and water in the patterning of sand. And the second was ‘At home with chemicals’ which looked at chemicals in the home, their uses and safe.
