Novo Nordisk announced in February 2006 that they would be discontinuing their animal insulin range. In response to the uncertainty of the future of animal insulin Wockhardt UK has confirmed their intention to promote and support the continuing supply of porcine and bovine insulins for the foreseeable future.

In doing this Wockhardt UK Ltd has recently contacted healthcare professionals and pharmacists reminding them that porcine and bovine insulins will continue to be manufactured by Wockhardt UK Ltd. If you would like a copy of this mailing please click on the PDF version found in Related Documents.

As Novo Nordisk will be discontinuing supply from December 2007, anyone who wishes to continue using our alternative animal insulins needs to be identified and transferred. Wockhardt UK has produced a leaflet and wallchart that healthcare professionals can use as a guide to Wockhardt UK’s animal insulin range.
