During December, Wockhardt UK was pleased to make a charitable donation of £2,000 to the Nightingale House Hospice. The money was raised through various staff activities across the company. The cheque was presented to Margaret Hollings, a fundraising representative from the hospice.

Nightingale House is Wrexham’s Hospice and Cancer Support Centre. It provides a purpose built hospice, offering in-patient, outpatient and day care facilities as well as counselling and support for patients and their families. The hospice was officially opened in August 1995, with day care initially and the in-patient unit opened in the November. Today, Nightingale House is a fully comprehensive specialist palliative care service. The majority of running costs for Nightingale House are met from voluntary donations and local fundraising, demonstrating the incredible generosity and kindness of local people.
