Import of Wockhardt UK's porcine insulins into Australia
This guide has been written to help you if you have not been able
to find a suitable replacement for Novo's pork insulin in Australia,
and wish to obtain pork insulin from Wockhardt UK Ltd.
Please note that Wockhardt UK also produce bovine insulin, which
has been approved for sale in Australia, the UK and other countries
for over 25 years. Should you wish to purchase our bovine neutral
or isophane insulin, please contact our agents for further details.

Unfortunately our Porcine insulins are not yet approved for use
in Australia, however, Wockhardt UK can supply pork insulin to
you as a resident of Australia.
This is what to do,
1. Post or fax to Wockhardt UK the following documents:
a) A completed order
form (pdf).
Alternatively this form is available upon request from our Export
Department.
b) Prescription for your insulin signed by your Australian Licensed
Physician (make sure the prescription has the name, address and
telephone number of your Physician). Your doctor must also provide
a letter, which includes an undertaking for him/her to report to
the company any adverse drug reactions, which he/she determines,
are associated with Hypurin insulin.
c) A statement signed by you, saying that the insulin is for your
own personal use and that the number of vials being ordered is
no more than three months supply. (Include your name, address,
telephone and fax number if you have one, on this statement).
